Tasmanian Catholic Schools Parents Council 60th Anniversary Conference and Dinner 2019

The council will hold its annual conference and AGM on Saturday 14th September 2019 at St Patrick’s College Croagh Patrick Campus in Launceston with an evening dinner to follow at Kings Bridge Bar and Restaurant.

New President

The TCSPC has a new President; Dr Perpetua (Pep) Turner, announced at the 2018 Annual General Meeting and Conference that was held at St Paul's Catholic School 20th October 2018.

Nominations for TCEC Standing Committees 2019

The Tasmanian Catholic Education Commission (TCEC) is now calling for nominations for the four new TCEC Standing Committees being established for 2019.

Nominations are due in to the TCEC Executive Secretary by the close of business on Friday, 26 October 2018.

Catholic Education Employers Declare an ‘Impasse’ to Industrial Negotiations

Representatives of Tasmanian Catholic Education Employers today met with the Independent Education Union (IEU) in Hobart to discuss ongoing claims relating to employment conditions for Catholic School employees.

Despite re-visiting a number of issues with the IEU in good faith, satisfactory agreement was unable to be negotiated in relation to the issues surrounding school support staff, pastoral care, and redundancy pay.
